Audit Committee Forum (ACF)

The purpose of the Forum is to focus on the private sector audit committee constituency with the objective of assisting audit committee members towards achieving the various requirements set out for audit committees in law, regulation and best practice as these evolve over time.

In order to promote good corporate governance, the Forum will, inter alia, perform the following functions:

• facilitate the exchange of views and discussion among its members on matters relating to the role and responsibilities of audit committees;
• facilitate consultations and meetings with applicable regulators within this industry as requested and required;
• consider appropriate responses to governance matters in the public domain as they specifically pertain to matters falling under the audit committee ambit; and make available to members SAICA training, products, CPD events and other seminars that may be of value to committee members.
