Assessment of Professional Competence (APC)

Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) is the second part of the qualifying examination which assesses professional competence. To be eligible candidates must have passed the IAC, completed 20 months of a registered training contract and successfully completed a professional programme.

Students writing an examination should prepare themselves appropriately for the exam by referring to the below lists of examinable pronouncements.

If you are a qualified member of another professional accountancy body, you may be eligible to register with SAICA as a CA(SA).

We offer various routes to membership.

Candidates who require special concessions in an examination must carefully read the policy below and apply to SAICA by the relevant cut-off date.
